Maple Syrup Lemonade Diet

This is the so called Lemonade Detox Diet (or Master Cleanse). It has been used by many stars, with Beyoncé Knowles being the most prominent. After the Master Cleanse, Beyonce lost about 20 pounds for the movie “Dreamgirls”. This diet is made from maple syrup, lemon juice and red pepper, which are diluted with distilled water. The resulting concoction should be consumed for 10 days without any other solid food. When Beyoncé Knowles was asked about this diet, she said that it was a tough detoxification regimen, which however made her feel great afterwards.

Blended fruit with milk or yogurt

Gwyneth Paltrow, who wanted to lose some extra pounds taken during the holidays, followed a less aggressive detox diet. For one week she was fed with a special formula containing fresh fruit with milk or yoghurt and small amounts of organic vegetables and chicken. She said that she got into the habit of doing a detox diet at least once a year.

Fruits and vegetables for Oprah Winfrey

Oprah Winfrey followed an express diet for 21 days. The diet excluded sugar, caffeine, starch and pasta. She only consumed three small meals per day and two snacks of fruits and vegetables. According to her, although she did not miss any foods, she just found it difficult when she was dining out. Of course, it was a less risky diet compared to others.

Just 400 calories a day under medical supervision

Many Hollywood stars visit a special spa and nutrition center in California, where they get different diet treatments with about 400 calories a day. These diets consist of only liquid juices, i.e vegetable or lemon juices. The accommodation and detox program lasts for 3 days and they do this each month. It is considered by many a very good detoxification program, since apart from the ascetic diet, the stars are also subjected to laxatives in order to remove from their bodies all toxins and anything unnecessary. Fruit juice fasting

A special juice formula made from pineapple, apple, mint and milk from cashew nuts is one of the most hot detox regimens among Hollywood celebrities. It is a detoxifying system that lasts 10 days and it works in three phases. In the first phase the person takes 1200 calories a day, in the second phase 1100 calories and 1000 calories in the last phase. The aim of this cleansing program is to detoxify the body from food, and alcohol. Fan of this detoxification diet is Sarah Jessica Parker. The experts, among others, argue that this formulation is not only expensive but also dangerous to health.

Organic fruits and vegetables

This is a diet based only on a mixture of organic fruits and vegetables which are to be consumed by the person as long as needed until reaching the desired weight loss. Please note that this diet is quite difficult to sustain for a long time.
